Let me take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Ed Winch and I am your Building and Zoning Official who is charged with enforcement of the many codes that govern the construction of all buildings within the city limits. I have over 40 years of experience in the construction field, 16 years hands-on experience working in the field and 25 years experience performing inspections.

Said codes include Building, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, Gas, ADA Accessibility,  Storm water, Site Development, plus all the required City Zoning Codes. Compliance with all these codes is necessary before a building permit can be issued.

Please be advised that permits are also required for the replacement of appliances like A/C units, water heaters and pumps. Other items that require permits are window and door replacement, driveways, fences, docks, water and sewer lines electrical services, repairs and upgrades.
