TRAFFIC SAFETY AWARD
Officer Patrick Woodward has been employed at the Port Richey Police
Department since 2001 as a Police Officer. During that time he has
excelled in conducting traffic related and crash investigations along
with his many other duties and responsibilities, and he has been the
writer of a very large amount of traffic citations. In the year 2005,
Officer Woodward made Port Richey Police Department history by becoming
a member of the " 100+ D.U.I. CLUB " of officers statewide who made
more than 100 D.U.I. arrests in a year. Officer Woodward made 106 D.U.I.
arrests in 2005, a first in the history of the Port Richey Police
Department.
Officer Woodward's dedication to traffic safety and enforcement has
earned him the distinction of being recognized in this capacity, in
Tallahassee in April 2006. He was presented an award along with other
Florida Police Officers, for excellence in this most important endeavor,
at a dinner sponsored by the State of Florida and MADD.
